3. Scientist Name: John Logie
Baird
John Logie Baird was born in 1888 in Helensburgh,
Scotland. He Invented televised pictures of objects in motion. He demonstrated
color television in 1928. At first he produced outline in 1924, transmitted
recognizable human faces in 1925 and moving objects in 1926. In 1927 Baird
transmitted sound and images over more than 400 miles of telephone wire from
London to Glasgow, and in 1928 he sent the first television transmission across
the Atlantic Ocean from London to New York.
BBC television
used his technique to broadcast from 1929 to 1937. Baird’s visual images are
fuzzy and flickering. He continued his
inventions for the rest of his life and developing electronic color television
and 3D television. He died of a stroke in 1946 in England.

2. Scientist Name: A.L. and J.L. Lumiere
Short Biography:
Antoine a painter turned to photographer, Opened a
small business in Photographic Plates based in Lyons. On 17 years old Louis invented a new “dry Plate” process of
developing film.
On 1894 the Lumieres were producing some 15 million
plates a year.
Auguste began the first experiments in the winter of
1894, and by early the following year the brothers had come up with their own
device, which they called the Cinematographe. Weight of the equipment is 11
pounds and hand-powered crank. Projected film at a speed of 16 frames per
second. Key innovation at the heart of cinematographe was the mechanism through
which film was transported through the camera.
Some private screenings, the lumiere brothers unveiled
the cinematographe in their public screening on December 28th, 1895.

Name: Anders Celsius (1701-1744)
Short Biography:
Anders Celsius was born on November 27th
1701 in Uppsala, Sweden. He was invented the Celsius (Centigrade) through originally
set the scale with a boiling point of 00 to freezing point of 1000.
He was as Swedish astronomer who built the Uppsala observatory.
